This album has a variety of musical genres set to lyrics that are not only fun and enjoyable but educational as well. Widmer creatively wrote these wild animal songs as a learning tool so young children can learn about animals from all over the world. It will have kids singing these catchy vibrant songs in no time at all. The Rap song, "Jake The Snake," is solid and steady as the children who sing this song are fantastic at rhyming the melodic lyrics. The song, "Harry The Hippopotamus," has great chunky sound textures that make a person envision a slow moving Hippo walking along the road. The percussive song, "Elless The Lioness," has wonderful sounds of African tonality while telling the facts about the lioness. The excellent album, "Wild Animal Kid Songs," is sheer family entertainment and young children will really like the musical styles.

-Diane and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Wild Animal Kid Songs's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"Songs for your Busy Day" by Music by Mommies (Kids Artist from New York(NY))

Music by Mommies and their motivating children/family album, "Songs for your Busy Day" will have your kids energized in no time to do their daily routines. This CD was written and produced by talented musicians/moms Michele Purcell and Barbara Fine Buxbaum who know just how hard it can be to encourage children to keep an everyday schedule. Together, they have written lyrics and melodies of Folk/Pop style so that each song displays a fun, cheerful, and positive message while learning at the same time. Right from the start, the first song, "Get Up" wakes up the sleepy child from bed as the sound of an alarm rings so he can get ready for school. The march like drum beat of "We're Going" will have the kids moving out the door in a timelier and faster manner and reminding them to not forget to put on their shoes and bring a coat. Ending the album, the song "Sleep," is a sweet and tender tune that will let your child settle down and unwind from the busy day. "Songs for your Busy Day" is a fun and interactive album of educational learning that all children/families will love to listen to.

- Diane and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Music by Mommies's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

RadioIndy is pleased to present Cody & Bj Productions with a GrIndie Award for the CD "Extinct Is Forever "

RadioIndy is pleased to present Cody & Bj Productions with a GrIndie Award for the CD "Extinct Is Forever "
Entertaining and educational, "Extinct Is Forever," by the talented Cody & Bj Productions, is comprised of catchy lyrics and beats with pop style. Although geared towards children between the ages of 4-12, everyone will enjoy these wonderful pop songs, with their catchy melodies and lightly sprinkled country influences. Sherwin's lyrics are as encouraging & wise as they are humorous. For instance, in the title track, "Meltdown," he effectively sings about anger & connects to his young listeners with the wisdom of his advice. Lively and upbeat, "Granny's Got a Guitar" is not only funny but has a catchy, rock feel to it. "A Cappella, Part 3" shines with its fantastic harmonies in a song that celebrates the life of a musician. Sherwin has a gifted insight into the mind of a child and he uses his music to inspire a positive attitude, but it's his motto that really sums up his ability to relate to his audience on their level: "Don't Drive Parents Crazy." If you're looking for something new and original for the kids to hear, then pop in the CD "Meltdown" and before you know it they will be singing along.

-Diane and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Lanny Sherwin's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"Extinct Is Forever" by Cody & Bj Productions (Kids Artist from Virginia(VA))

Entertaining and educational, "Extinct Is Forever," by the talented Cody & Bj Productions, is comprised of catchy lyrics and beats with pop style. "Extinct Is Forever," is just the right album to promote awareness of the rainforests and saving wild animals to families/young children through these enlightening and charming songs.

-Diane and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Cody & Bj Productions's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"Zoey and the Yok-Yok Man" by Alain Le Lait (Kids/Children Artist from Colorado (CO))

Singer/songwriter Alain Le Lait's latest release "Zoey and the Yok-Yok Man" is just the right musical entertainment for kids/family fun. This album is a fresh and innovative avenue in guiding parents through the growing years of their young children. Since music is a form of communication, Appelstein has taken his words of guidance and translated them into rhythm and rhyme. His lyrics reinforce to parents to praise children, have patience, and give them a direction in life. The entire album is composed of different musical genres and each track is unique in the message it brings. "Kids Need Attention" kicks off with a drum beat, funky guitar chords, and a solid bass line. In a change of musical style, "Keep Things Neat" is a bouncy little tune with vocals sung in reggae style. "Parent Rapsody" is a musical approach to child rearing issues for parents and should definitely be given a listen.

-Diane And the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Charlie Appelstein & This album is a fresh and innovative avenue in guiding parents through the growing years of their young children. The owner of Lullaby Babies and mastermind of the album, Richard Jenkinson, is responsible for all of the sounds on this album, and the product is extraordinary. Jenkinson took what he considered to be the world's finest lullabies and formulated them into modern acoustic songs with wind chimes, piano, and acoustic guitar that maintain their classic lullaby quality. The result is ten lullaby gems great for putting children to sleep and highly enjoyable for parents and children alike. Jenkinson's vocal performance is also excellent, warm, gentle, and lulling in and of itself. "Acoustic Lullabies to Soothe the Soul" is well-produced, and the acoustic instrumentation and vocal performances sound beautiful and pure. The album features American lullaby classics like "Rock-a-bye Baby," "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," and "Hush Little Baby (Mockingbird)." In addition, it also features acoustically reoriented classical tracks like "Ava Maria" and "Pachelbel's Canon in D," ancient world lullabies, and non-traditional-lullabies-turned-lullabies. "Scarborough Fair" is one of the latter case, as Jenkinson creates a beautiful and soothing rendition of the Simon & Garfunkel classic with great vocals and limited acoustic guitar instrumentation. "The Castle of Dromore (October Winds)" is a great modernization of the ancient Irish folk lullaby that features a great vocal performance. Overall, "Acoustic Lullabies to Soothe the Soul" is rather aptly titled, musically and vocally excellent, and great for the whole family. Parents having trouble getting their kids to bed at night are going to want to pick this one up.-Chris & the RadioIndy.com Review Team
Check out Lullaby Babies's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"Toodala - Front Porch Favorites" by Gayle Schmitt (Kids/Family Artist from San Francisco, California (CA))

"Toodala - Front Porch Favorites" by Gayle Schmitt is a children's folk album filled with energy and lovely harmonies. In addition, it also features acoustically reoriented classical tracks like "Ava Maria" and "Pachelbel's Canon in D," ancient world lullabies, and non-traditional-lullabies-turned-lullabies. Parents having trouble getting their kids to bed at night are going to want to pick this one up.
-Chris & the RadioIndy.com Review Team
Check out Lullaby Babies 's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"The Times Table" by Prince of Fame (Kids Artist from Antigua)

"The Times Table" by Prince of Fame is a creative educational hip hop single which features three different versions. The first version, dubbed as "Soca Version", features a great beat that can be best described as island techno. The single is a creative way for kids to learn their multiplication tables. According to The Prince of Fames Bio he was actually born in Antigua and even filmed a video for the song there. This mix is a great party song that will be sure to get bodies shaking in a violent manor on the dance floor. The "Dancehall" version of the song has a club feel, with a classic hip-hop beat. It still retains the island feel, but with a bit of a harder edge. The final version of the song dubbed the "Rock Version" which to us really doesn't bring the word rock to mind but regardless another great version of the song which conquers memories of early 90's video game music such as Streets of Rage and Sonic. No doubt this island artist will soon be heard in clubs throughout the US. Primarily acoustic folk/jazz, this album will certainly catch the ears of the little ones. Betsy's welcoming tone is impressive and perfectly suites this genre. This CD also presents a very interesting element of creativity - the use of songs from around the world, presented in their native language. "Cadet Rouselle" is one such tune, and shows off a different yet friendly vocal tonality. Moreover, the mesmerizing acoustic intro of "Foyo" best demonstrates the impressive acoustic guitar work on this collection. Additionally, the all-too-familiar "Kookabura" jingle is presented in a fresh new manner, using jazzy guitar work and vocal arrangements. With nonintrusive production, this album maintains its originality, sincerity, and personal feel. No cheesy stuff here. This album is filled with foot tapping Swamp riffs and Country twang. You can revel in the superior musicianship, while your little one learns the ABC's and the days of the week. Mr. Darby has a soothing, fun and child friendly voice. The arrangements are fun and quirky and equally so are the lyrics.
