"Songs for your Busy Day" by Music by Mommies (Kids Artist from New York(NY))

Music by Mommies and their motivating children/family album, "Songs for your Busy Day" will have your kids energized in no time to do their daily routines. This CD was written and produced by talented musicians/moms Michele Purcell and Barbara Fine Buxbaum who know just how hard it can be to encourage children to keep an everyday schedule. Together, they have written lyrics and melodies of Folk/Pop style so that each song displays a fun, cheerful, and positive message while learning at the same time. Right from the start, the first song, "Get Up" wakes up the sleepy child from bed as the sound of an alarm rings so he can get ready for school. The march like drum beat of "We're Going" will have the kids moving out the door in a timelier and faster manner and reminding them to not forget to put on their shoes and bring a coat. Ending the album, the song "Sleep," is a sweet and tender tune that will let your child settle down and unwind from the busy day. "Songs for your Busy Day" is a fun and interactive album of educational learning that all children/families will love to listen to.

RadioIndy is pleased to present Cody & Bj Productions with a GrIndie Award for the CD "Extinct Is Forever "

Entertaining and educational, "Extinct Is Forever," by the talented Cody & Bj Productions, is comprised of catchy lyrics and beats with pop style. What better way to teach young children about saving wildlife and rainforests than using the gift of music. Hear the sounds of the wild on "Enter the Rainforest/Song of the Rainforest" with the soft and gentle voice of poetry. There will be a smile and happy feeling when you hear "Beautiful Macaw" as it gently moves with tropical flair. Kids won't be able to keep from singing to "Let's Be Friends With The Animals" with its sing-along style and bouncy beats. Sincere and heartfelt lyrics shine on "Imagine" as the vocals gracefully flow over the tender melody. "Extinct Is Forever," is just the right album to promote awareness of the rainforests and saving wild animals to families/young children through these enlightening and charming songs.

"Meltdown" by Lanny Sherwin (Kids Artist from California(CA))

Family fun and entertainment is just what Lanny Sherwin delivers on his newest CD, "Meltdown." Although geared towards children between the ages of 4-12, everyone will enjoy these wonderful pop songs, with their catchy melodies and lightly sprinkled country influences. Sherwin's lyrics are as encouraging & wise as they are humorous. For instance, in the title track, "Meltdown," he effectively sings about anger & connects to his young listeners with the wisdom of his advice. Lively and upbeat, "Granny's Got a Guitar" is not only funny but has a catchy, rock feel to it. "A Cappella, Part 3" shines with its fantastic harmonies in a song that celebrates the life of a musician. Sherwin has a gifted insight into the mind of a child and he uses his music to inspire a positive attitude, but it's his motto that really sums up his ability to relate to his audience on their level: "Don't Drive Parents Crazy." If you're looking for something new and original for the kids to hear, then pop in the CD "Meltdown" and before you know it they will be singing along.

RadioIndy is pleased to present Gayle Schmitt with a GrIndie Award for the CD "Toodala - Front Porch Favorites"

RadioIndy is pleased to present Gayle Schmitt with a GrIndie Award for the CD "Toodala - Front Porch Favorites"

"Toodala - Front Porch Favorites" by Gayle Schmitt is a children's folk album filled with energy and lovely harmonies. Schmitt teaches music and movement to kids, proving she knows her craft well. This is no average home-made album either. The musicianship is superb, the arrangements are lively and creative, Schmitt's vocals are well-performed, and her lyrics are fun and exciting. This album is composed of wonderful layers and great fills on each track. The Toodala Ramblers that back Schmitt are all members of professional bluegrass and old-time bands. The title track "Toodala" kicks off the album with a bang. It features some skilled guitar plucking and clever word play from Schmitt. Listeners will recognize "Ain't No Bugs on Me" from its commercial success. It is a perfect fit in this collection as well. "All Around the Kitchen" is infectious, fun, and will get the kids moving from the vocal instruction. Parents, children, and fans of children's folk songs will love "Toodala – Front Porch Favorites" by Gayle Schmitt.
